How to adjust garage door hinges.
This video shows how to adjust the door hinge spring tension using an allen key wrench.
Usually the reason the garage door hinges will need to be adjusted is because they sit either below or above the wood.
If the door has 3 hinges usually the ones on top and bottom are the only ones you need to adjust.
If you tightened the top hinge turn the bottom hinge clockwise by the same amount.
If your hinge has a tension pin inserted into the side of the hinge you need to pull the pin from the hinge with needle nose.
Step 1 assess the problem.
Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws that are in the tracks to secure it to the garage door frame.
Otherwise turn the wrench counterclockwise to relieve tension from the hinge.
Adjusting the spring loaded hinge can see daunting but our step by step process is here to help.
Remove the locking screw from the bottom hinge and insert the hex wrench in the hole.

Adjusting the position of the track tap the bottom of the track gently with a rubber mallet.
