Install A Handle On Freezer Door

This door handle is used for both refrigerators and freezers to easily open and close the door.

Install a handle on freezer door.

Tighten the set screws at each end of the handles. I have provided you with the instructions for removing the door handle below. A 3 32 allen wrench is needed for sxs models. The spring should hold the slider in the forward locked position.

Install new handle using screws that were previously removed. The handles are installed by the owner or installer as directed in the installation instructions. Place the new handle on the door for side by side doors the small screws should face the other door and ensure that the top and bottom of the handle is placed over the screws in the door. Drive one inch self tapping pan head sheet metal screw into each hole using a cordless drill with a philips bit.

Use the images to aid you in reinstalling the handle. Fit the latch slot of the longer hasp tongue over the tab of the small plate. Most handles require a 3 32 or 1 8 allen wrench to tighten. I hope this is helpful.

Once both screws are loose pull the damaged refrigerator handle off of the door to install a new handle. Download a copy of the installation instructions.
